A Special Outreach in Leicester City U.K.

While walking through the Leicester City Center in England today, I ran into this group of former Hindus, now born again Pentecostals. I stopped and listened as they preached, and powerfully testified about Jesus. It was very refreshing hearing the gospel preached by a group of people who once rejected the gospel.

I watched as the British public walked by. Many mocked, but many also stopped and listened as Christ was lifted up. Years ago England ruled India. The British brought India European culture, fine tea, and parliamentary government. Today, these Indian believers have come to call England back to the same faith, that they once introduced to India years ago. God has his witnesses all over the world faithfully declaring the hope of the gospel. Interesting, the east bringing the gospel to the west.

Time with Jesus...It's Important

Spiritual weakness & deficiency comes from a lack of time spent with God. Our life always becomes a replica of how & where we spend our time. We must resist distractions & diversions.Jesus disciples were identified as those who had "been with Jesus".

If we don't make time for God, nothing we do in life, can be identified as coming from Him. Evaluate life regularly, if its not showing marks of Christ, spend less time where you've been, and spend more time in Gods presence.

A HOLY GHOST SMACK DOWN, San Diego

I've tried to make San Diego a regular part of my schedule in the States. We have quite a number of churches in the area, and each visit blesses me. The Orosco's are doing a really fine job in South San Diego. Right away when I arrived, a few new people introduced themself, expecting to hear from God. All of the services had that old time revival feeling. Nothing fancy, just praises to Jesus, preaching, and praying the Devil off of peoples lives. God brought all of us under conviction during the services. Real power is not just miracles, but when God breaks through, and changes a life around.  Pastor Orosco kept saying each night, that God brought a word in season. No one but God can know where each person is, and bring a message that can speak to everyone at the same time. Every time I asked, "who wants to know Jesus", hands went up and souls got saved. It was also good having a few of the area pastors come for fellowship. Really good things are going on in San Diego.

TRUTH

In John 8:32, Jesus said "truth will set you free". This verse explains social & spiritual bondage. We live in a world of lies. Lies about God, the bible, love, and the consequences of sin, have society trapped.

As long as we believe lies, life seems normal. But when truth is discovered, we break free. It's not lies that ruin relationships, its the discovery of the truth. Bible truth reveals lies & liberates humanity. Love truth, face truth & receive truth. It hurts, but it heals.

FOLLOW JESUS

When Jesus first called his disciples, he said "FOLLOW ME". We are always feeling something that challenges this call. I had a long talk with a man this week, who followed his feelings and got his life off track. Now his hurt, anger, and bitterness want to carry him even further from Gods will.

Its popular to hear people say "follow your heart", but its bad advice. Our heart can be deceived. We must follow Jesus and his unchanging word. Emotions always make bad choices. Happy people make foolish promises, and angry people make bad decisions. Read the word, be anchored, be strong, follow the voice of God, and even if you mess up, God will make sure things come out right.

Sunday service

This is the church in Weslaco Texas. Weslaco is close to the U.S. border with Mexico, in the Rio Grande Valley. I preached here about six years ago, but its a different church today, a congregation having revival. Pastor Conrad mentioned to me that all of the services were well attended, some of the nights, the building was packed out. There were so many visitors, we couldn't keep a clear count. We estimated over 50 people responded for salvation in the 5 nights of revival.

This precious lady Norma, and her two daughters came all week, kept answering the altar call, rejoicing in Gods goodness. One gentleman came and received Jesus, came back with his wife the following night and she received Jesus. This is what God can do, when hearts are open to him. I heard many reports of drugs, crime, violence, and other wicked activity around Weslaco, but God in a few days showed his grace and power to save.

This was my second trip to the Valley this year. Back in February I was in McAllen Texas, which is just 20 minutes away. Something real is happening in this area of the country. Where Satan rages and intimidates people, God always raises up a church, to reveal the glory of God. We saw the glory in Weslaco this week. I've posted on the testimony page of this blog, a testimony from Aida Ramos. God powerfully saved and set her free. She tells the story in her own words. Check out her testimony, you'll see that there is no one, no matter how bound, that God can't reach and lift out of hells bondage.

Athens Georgia..Bulldog Country..Revival

There always seems to be something about the state of Georgia. I used to hear those songs about Georgia years ago, "rainy night in Georgia", "Georgia on my mind", and the classic, "midnight train to Georgia". People might wonder, what is it about Georgia, well I saw it last week. God is moving in Georgia. Our meetings in Athens were truly refreshing. The church is alive, the saints are hospitable, and the food is good. Pastor Gene had a mens class on Saturday night, and it looked like about 50 plus men came. Its was also good to see the number of visiting men who gave their lives to Jesus. Night after night we saw visitors to the services, as well as a few old timers from years ago, stop in.

Brother Patrick lined up an interview with a local radio station. Ps Gene and I had time to share the gospel over the radio, and invite the entire city to the services. Before we left the station, a lady spoke to us who was listening in her car, and got the address, and said, "i'm coming tonight". It was a week of Gods favor. The church is seeing a fresh group of students from the university starting to attend services. One evening an entire row was full of UGA students, hungry for God. Ps Gene said, this hasn't happened for over 20 years. Georgia is truly on Gods heart. Pray for the church in Athens that God would help them to purchase a building they are working on.

On the very first Good Friday 2000 yrs ago, Jesus said.."it is finished". Whatever he was working on, he completed it that day. Just like a championship sports game, once its over, its done, and the results are placed into the history books. It can't be replayed, or disputed, ITS FINISHED.

God's battle with Satan for the souls of humanity..it is finished. The guilt of our sins that bring condemnation..it is finished. The power of our past to enslave us..it is finished. Celebrate Salvation this Easter weekend, The enemy is defeated and we are SAVED.

Amazing Love Letters

Robert & Elizabeth Browning

I read a moving story about Robert Browning and his wife Elizabeth. Their story has a powerful spiritual lesson, please read it and pass it on.

Robert Browning was one of England's foremost poets and play writers during Victorian years. When he met Elizabeth Barrett she had already published four books of poetry, was 39 years old, and semi invalid. She injured her spine at age 15 and was confined in London suffering lung problems. Her father was a jealous, dominating man who refused to allow any of his children to marry. Doomed to spend her life in bed, Elizabeth became a recluse.

The publication of one of her books brought her in contact with Robert Browning. He visited her, and they often wrote to each other. He encouraged her to make efforts to get out of bed, and resume a normal life. But this was met with strong resistance from her father.  The father refused Browning from visiting her again, but the letters between them continued and they were soon in love. After a year, she escaped the bondage of her father and secretly married Browning. The moved to Italy, and it wasn't long until Elizabeth was gaining strength, and living active life. Her parents disowned her, but she wrote to them almost every week telling them how much she loved them, and wanted to reconcile. After 10 years of letter writing, she received a huge box in the mail. The box contained all the letters she had written to her parents, and not one of them was opened.

Elizabeth's love letters to her parents, have now become a precious part of English literature. Its so sad to know they were never read by her parents. The letters are heart felt, full of love and emotion. Had they just opened and read one of those letters, the relationship between them and Elizabeth could have been healed.

I've rewritten this story because of its spiritual implications. The parent wouldn't even read the letters. What a lesson about the real power of bitterness and unforgiveness. But another lesson about Gods love for the souls of men. The great effort God made to reach lost humanity and send us his love letters, the bible. Guess what, people won't even open it up and read it. Redemption and reconciliation are so close. How much pain, and emptiness could be healed if we'd just read the letters.

I'm doing great, so is Nancy. The church is doing very good.
We had a very powerful revival with Ps. Ajala last week, we saw 166 people pray over 4 services, most of them are still coming. The Harvesters that just ended yesterday was also very powerful. 

Attached is a picture of Verouna Awene. She got powerfully saved during your one day revival service in Swakopmund last year.
She came for morning prayer the Friday morning after praying Thursday night, came for youth on Friday night, came for outreach Saturday morning, came the Sunday morning and never stopped coming.
Whats so powerful is that she has grown very quickly and she is very fruitful. She keeps on bringing other people to church. She is on every outreach.
Verouna is now serving God in the follow up ministry.

Cardiff, Bristol, Bromley, Birmingham U.K.

On this U.K. trip, I preached in four churches. I started off with two services in Cardiff Wales. I landed at Heathrow airport, drove up to Wales, changed and went into service with Pastor Jacques. At the first invitation six souls came up for salvation. I knew right away, God has blessed and made this trip fruitful. From Cardiff, it was on to Bristol, Bromley and I ended in Birmingham. For years now England has been a very fruitful harvest field. Many were saved in each of those revivals. All kinds of people showed up, from hard sinners, backsliders and religious seekers to Rastas. I didn't get the usual amount of photos on this trip, but here are a few to let you see these works, and see how our investment over the years has built strong churches throughout the U.K. There is also a testimony by a former Rastafarian lady named Omana, its on the testimony page. If I had to choose a word to sum up these meetings it would be deliverance. Many testified of finding inner victory for bondages.
