2012 Youth Conergence..Tucson AZ

The Yearly youth convergence was held this past weekend in Tucson. Many Teens from all over the

Southwest came. The visiting minister was Pastor Clement Okusi from London England. His messages were uplifting, and relevant to todays young people. He spoke about the need for the Holy Spirit, and the importance of living a separated life for God. After the last session, He and Ps Warner took questions from the teens, and brought some well needed direction on topics important to them. I saw lots of smiles at the end. Everyone left blessed, including us old folk who attended.

Ruidoso, New Mexico

The last stop on this trip was in Ruidoso, New Mexico. A beautiful town in the hills north of Alamagordo. Pastor Billy Jones has labored  here for the last 8 years. The services were exciting, and filled with visitors from the surrounding area. We did two radio talk shows during the day, and many who heard us, came to the services. God saved souls, we prayed for victory and deliverance, and God moved.

BOW

Bowing has always been a gesture to acknowledge Gods royalty, give Him honor & respect His presence. Spiritually it says, "I yield, I submit & I surrender". Bowing is the most natural instinct of a life touched by God.

Satan has perverted

 this & made it his symbol of rebellion, causing many to bow down (yield) to idols, sin, celebrity, wealth, worldliness & earthly leaders. In the 2nd commandment, God says "thou shalt not make any graven images...or bow to them. Bowing has spiritual significance.

ROM 14:11 says, "every knee shall bow to me". All humanity will bow to God as Lord or judge. Phil 2:10 also says, "every knee shall bow & every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord". On that great day, when all men must face God, bowing will be the mandatory gesture. Let's not put off what's inevitable. Be saved & Bow to God as your Lord, we will eventually have to anyway. 

Northern California..13 Days of REVIVAL

This trip was a 13 day sweep in Northern California. I preached revivals in Fairfield, San Mateo, and Sacramento. Each meeting had its own timely feel of visitation. In total 35 people responded to Jesus in these meetings. On the last night in Sacramento, we had a special service of appreciation for one of the brothers who was ill in the hospital. That night a large group from his family came out, and many answered the invitation to accept Jesus. The pastors in Northern California need our prayers. Its been a hard battle field, but as you see, Jesus is breaking through. Sunday morning in Fairfield was a pleasant sight, when the ladies wore pretty hats. The disciples in San Mateo really impressed me, watching them run things encouraged my belief, that Disciples are key to church building.

A Cross speaks

This photo was taken in the rubble when the world trade centers collapsed. Two steel beams found in the form of a cross. This week, Atheist & Civil liberty groups are suing to remove this cross from the WTC museum. Saying its offensive & has caused headaches to unbelieving patrons.

Gal 5:11 speaks of the "offence of the cross". It's an inner disturbance connected to this symbol, that reminds us that sin separates from God, sin requires judgement (either judgement on Jesus, or judgement before Gods throne) but Jesus forgives, saves, and brings peace through faith in Gods redemption. Satan has been lobbying to remove crosses all across America, attempting to erase the memory of What God has done for us, yet God out of the rubble reminds us, Jesus is our hope.

Removing & outlawing crosses won't silence God. Pretending Jesus didn't die, doesn't lessen its reality. Destroying the cross can't reduce its power, but bowing at the cross can remove guilt, and wash away our sins.

Road to NOWHERE

Someone messaged me seeking prayer saying "my life is going nowhere". Reminds me of Isreal leaving Egypt. Disobedience & idolatry caused 40 years of wondering, only to end up on a road to nowhere.

tery & immorality ends bad, crime ends bad, bitterness ends bad, addiction ends bad and greed & covetousness ends bad. It's all a road to nowhere.

In John 10:10, Jesus "comes to give life". Existence is what animals have, alive but not purpose. Jesus gives life purpose. Time on earth is to short to work, invest & struggle, and end up nowhere. Live for God

A REAL CHAMPION...11 Aug 2012

Lori (Lolo) Jones was mocked this week for not winning gold in her race at the Olympics. It was later revealed that certain media personalities simply wanted to belittle her because she's a 30 year old virgin. Lolo says, she wants her virginity to be a gift to her future husband & believes as 1 Cor 10:31 says, "whatever you do, do all to the glory of God".

Lolo's love for Jesus & her moral purity should be exalted not mocked. Sexual sin is a major cause of illness, pain, rejection & regret in our society. Our Cultures promotion of immoral celebrities & criticizing of Godly values, has aided in much suffering from wrong sexual choices.

Anger at Godliness won't relieve societies pain, but Gods hope in Jesus will. Lolo's Olympic lost is temporary, but she's a real winner for staying faithful to God.

ONLY BELIEVE

I've expanded and rearranged this popular quote, to convey the gospel message. "your thoughts come from what you BELIEVE, values come from your thoughts, words come from values, actions come from words, habits come from actions, character comes from habits, destiny comes from character & your destiny is the total of your life. The bible says it like this Prov 23:7, "as he thinks, so is he". Everything begins with WHAT YOU BELIEVE SHAPING YOUR THOUGHTS.

Four things form our beliefs: How we're raised, how we're educated, how we're entertained & who our friends are. The people behind these; parents, teachers, friends, and writers & producers, can sway a life. Irresponsible parents, atheist teachers, evil friends and greedy/lustful entertainers, think wrong & hurt society.

It looks hopeless, but "rethink" is possible, its called repentance. Scripture says, "believe on the lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved". Believing the bible starts a new thought process toward a new destiny. Believing the wrong thing started the problem & believing the right thing fixes it.

CROYDON, SOUTH LONDON..U.K. 7-2012

Croydon

The final stop on this U.K. trip was Croydon. The churches pastor is Clement Okusi. The Croydon congregation is full of excited youth pressing on for Jesus. I really enjoy preaching to this group, they are vocal and passionate for the things of God. Visitors came each night, and many responded to the invitation to receive Jesus as savior.

 Barbara and I had a great time in London. Ps Ajala and his wife Emine had us in for a revival and banquet to celebrate the churches 25th anniversary. The revival was a time of blessing for the saints, and the banquet was a time of reflection and joy over all God has done.

 Right after the revival, we travelled to Bournemouth for a couples retreat over the weekend. Couples came from as far away as Liverpool. The conference suite was packed with couples seeking to strengthen their marriages. God moved, and many left changed and encouraged.

Choose Life Carefully

A lady visiting our service last night said to me, "I hate my life". After we spoke a while she realized, her lack of faith, choices & friends had created the life she now hates. God comforted her after we prayed, but a lesson was learned.

The world promises, but only Jesus delivers.

Our faith, our choices & our friends will shape us. These things are molding you & creating the life you'll live later. Be sure the person you're becoming & the life you're making, is what you're willing to live with, for the rest of your life. Regret awaits the sinner, but rejoicing awaits those saved by grace.

Gods 10 Commandments

When God gave the 10 commands, scripture says he wrote in stone, using his own finger. Commands etched unchangable, for all generations, not passed thru men, but directly from God. It's His will that scripture anchor, teach & guide us.

Every ignored command, represents a problem in society. From false Gods with evil demands, to crime & pain due to greed & lust. Look around today, where scripture is rejected humans develop animal passions. Rediscover the bible, believe in Jesus & reclaim the glory of being made in Gods image.

FREEDOM..MLK Memorial

On my way home from Jamaica, I stopped in D.C. for a quick visit with my Mother. I had a fews hours during the day, so I went to visit the new Martin Luther King memorial on the historic D.C. mall. I was shocked at the size and majestic feel of it. But something else moved me to write this entry about the memorial.

Surrounding the memorial is a black granite wall with various quotes from Dr King. As you read the quotes, you get a feel for what made him what he was, and what motivated his service to humanity. Remember, long before Dr King was a civil rights activist, he was a christian minister of the gospel. I was saddened that Dr Kings love for Jesus wasn't highlighted at his memorial. I listened to his interview at the King center in Atlanta a few years ago, and I remember what he said. He told the interviewer, "I don't want to be remembered for all of my awards and the fact that I won a nobel prize". In his mountain top sermon he said "I just want to do Gods will". His belief in freedom, was based on the bibles teaching of freedom, not politics.

Dr King didn't just want people free politically, he wanted them to be liberated. Liberation is a much stronger word, it suggests being out from under the control of another. A murderer can be free from jail, yet still be under the control of the violent spirit the made him a murderer. Real freedom is to be liberated. Its very clear to me now as a minister of the gospel myself, that anything someone gives to you, they also will be able to take from you. Thats not freedom. Giving someone something with strings attached, is not freedom. The bible teaches us that Jesus Christ sets men free. Jesus comes to live inside of us, forgiving our sins, and changing us by his word and spirit, so that devices and behaviors that bind us, are no longer a part of our desire. Christ anchors us morally so that we won't destroy our future and families, putting them into bondage. Dr King believed and trusted in Jesus.

I left the memorial thinking, the world only appreciates a small part of what this great man stood for. Today many people benefit from Dr Kings fight for freedom, but not as many are enjoying the liberation offered by Dr Kings savior, Jesus Christ.

Kingston, Jamaica..July 2012

I just finished 5 nights of revival in Kingston, Jamaica. Each time I come, its like a joyful homecoming. Its a special joy to see the saints serving God, who were with me during the pioneer days of this church.  There are lots of new faces, both young and old. Visitors were invited, some came and got saved. The messsages seemed to fit right into the needs of the church. Pastor Jordan allowed the saints to wait on God at the altar, contending for a breakthrough before dismissing the services. We could feel God meeting with his people and uplifting their souls. We were all revived.
